Most married men and women seek out affairs from people the same gender as their spouse. In straight relationships, this means men will seek out a woman and a woman will seek out a man to have a fun night out with, or maybe even more.

Breaking the typical mold set forth by society, what’s to say you don’t have a little fun that’s out of your own comfort zone? If you’re going to have an affair, it’s time to live life on the edge. What could be more experimental and edgy than hooking up with someone of the same sex? Not convinced? It might be much more beneficial than you realize.



 

1. The Sexes Understand Each Other Better

When you have marital problems, you usually run to your friends to vent or ask for advice, right? There’s a good chance that these friends are the same gender as you. The two main genders tend to stick together when it comes to friendship, regardless of sexual orientation. Due to the experiences that men have and women have that are unique to their sex, it’s natural to gravitate towards forming friendships with those same people who understand what it’s like to live that life. Gay relationships have a different gender dynamic than straight ones. People of the same gender have a mutual understanding of certain things.
 

2. You Can Easily Say You’re “Just Friends”

It’s hard to be out with your mistress or guy on the side and see someone you know. What do you say? When you’re having an affair with someone of the opposite gender, it’s pretty obvious to friends who know you and your spouse what’s really going on. Being out with another man, for example, can easily be played off as having dinner with a coworker or friend from high school. Women can also find it easier to explain that they’re catching up with an old pal when out with a same sex affair partner. People generally tend to assume that people of opposite genders hanging out together must be having sex which is avoidable when spending time with someone of the same sex.

3. Spouses are Less Suspicious

In a similar vein, spouses are also less concerned with a husband or wife spending time with someone of the same gender. Again, it’s assumed that the person is simply a friend and nothing more. Texting them and chatting online is simply something you’re doing as friends, in their mind. When your hookup comes over to go on a rendezvous, your spouse will be none the wiser. On the other hand, spending too much time with someone of the opposite sex immediately arouses suspicion. Having a gay affair can eliminate a lot of the possibility of being caught simply because it won’t cross a spouse’s mind that you’re getting something special from your new BFF (Signs Your Man Is Guy).
 

4. The Sex is Different (but Amazing)

Obviously, gay sex can be different from straight sex in various ways. As a man, you’ll have to get used to doing different things with a man in bed than you would your wife back home. Whether giving or receiving, or even both, sex between two men can actually be a much more pleasing experience than a lot of men anticipate. Orgasms deriving from the prostate can be very intense and most men find that they enjoy them once they begin to experience them regularly. Women tend to find that having sex with other women can also be a beneficial experience. Men are generally inattentive in bed while another woman knows just how to take care of her own gender.
 

5. People of the Same Sex Tend to Have Similar Sex Drives (and Wants)

While possibly stereotypical and not true of all men and women, it’s often that you’ll note men have higher sex drives than women. This has to do with biology and body chemistry as well as society’s impression on male and female sexuality. Regardless of the reason, men often have a better understanding of another man’s sex drive and desires. Women operate on the same basis when paired with one another.

Please note that this is NOT true for all men and women. You can find women with huge sexual appetites and men with barely any at all.
 

6. No Risk of a Baby Mistake

It’s a man or woman’s worst nightmare: they have an extramarital affair, mistakes are made, and suddenly a baby is on the way. Many men and women who have been less than smart with contraception find that their trysts come with a souvenir. This can put both parties in tricky situations. Having sex with someone of the same gender, who is cisgender or with the same biological gender as yourself, can eliminate the worry about having an accidental pregnancy occur.
