Since the onset of dating apps, married people have used them to find extramarital affairs. It is easy and fun and something new to try, all things that are appealing to someone who has been married for an extended period of time. Cheating on Tinder is not an anomaly. It happens with regularity with both men and women in all age groups. Many factors go into what makes cheating on Tinder happen but it all boils down to the same thing; human nature. Surprisingly, more women are cheating on Tinder than men.
There is more to cheating than just the act of sex. Cheating is hard. Especially if you are trying not to get caught. It takes a lot of planning and forward thought. You must constantly be one step ahead of your partner. Secrecy is the name of the game and that can be exhausting in itself. When you live with a secret like cheating on Tinder, you must keep phone calls and texts secret. Some places you go have to be secret and you have to be aware of each lie you tell and able to cover it up. It has been estimated that one third of the people on Tinder are married. With numbers like that there must be something to it. One thing that draws so many people to cheating on Tinder is how easy the apps makes it. You don’t have to look for someone you think may be interested. Spending hours in bars and nightclubs searching out someone who won’t mind you’re married. It is so much easier to just log into Tinder and find a woman who is looking for the same thing you are.
A recent poll showed that while Tinder is more popular with men, and most of its members are men, more than half of the women who use the app are married. The poll showed that one third of men who use Tinder are already in some type of romantic relationship. Twenty-tree percent were married men. Married women view Tinder and other related apps as a sort of test area. They feel safe enough to flirt and mingle because there is no danger of anything further happening. The problem with this rationale is that once the flirting begins, it can easily turn to something more serious. People naturally gravitate toward other people who make them feel good. When a marriage is failing, these small moments on the Tinder app become something they look forward too. They get compliments. Men pay attention to them. It is comforting. It isn’t long, however, before the thrill of what is happening dies away and something more needs to happen to keep the feeling going. That is when the cheating on Tinder really begins.
No one is immune to cheating. It can happen to you at any time, even if you know your wife very well. Men who say they would never cheat, sometimes find themselves unexpectedly tempted and unable to pass up the opportunity. Cheating on Tinder is more a matter of opportunity than a battle of which gender it is more common for. Nine times out of ten, the marriage is already depleted beyond repair when a person goes to cheat on Tinder. It isn’t always intentional, either. Often joining Tinder is just a curiosity that turns into something different. That isn’t the only school of thought, however. Since Tinder is very well known as a hookup app, there are those who think if a person uses the app they are looking for a date, hookup or extramarital affair. After all, that is the intended use of the app.
Cheating on Tinder is not restricted to one sex. While it is common for men to cheat on Tinder, women are just as likely, if not more so. The real issue of cheating on Tinder is not who does more of it, but why it is being done. Besides, all the single guys are tired of the married guys stepping in on the action. Ever hear of Ashley Madison?
